If you're a resident of the Piedmont Triad who enjoys sports, fall might be a little brighter for you! Beginning in November, Greensboro will play host to a new Developmental League basketball team: The Greensboro Swarm. The first game is set for November 12th, where they will be tipping off against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. If you can't catch the inaugural game, don't worry! The Swarm's upcoming season consists of 24 home games, 24 away games, and two games in a League showcase. We are particularly excited about this not only because of the team name (we love bugs!) but because similar to Go-Forth, the team is committed to bettering the community surrounding us!
Community Outreach With Go-Forth Home Services
Like the Swarm, Go-Forth Home Services is committed to various causes including The Annual CFF Walk, Relay for Life, Victory Junction, and various other organizations that are dedicated to community advancement.
It seems that the Hornet's minor league team was in good company when choosing their team name, as it would seem many organizations find inspiration in the insect kingdom.
These are a few of our favorites:
- Greensboro Swarm
- Charlotte Hornets
- Greensboro Grasshoppers
- Hickory Crawdads
- Fayetteville FireAntz
Of course, we always encourage community members to get involved! Take a look at the schedule below, will we see you at a game?
