|

Before you go on thinking that all that you can resort to when dealing with cockroaches is using chemicals, stop. While there’s nothing wrong with wanting to resolve a pest infestation quickly, there are a lot of ways to do it than just using harmful chemicals. We’re here to tell you that it is possible to control any pest infestation in your home even with just the type of chemicals that humans are naturally using.

Get Rid Of Roaches Quick!

A lot of the scents and items that humans enjoy today are drawn from plants that have designs to protect themselves from insects. Meaning, that some of the items that we use today were originally being used as natural pest control. To clear it out, these chemicals are good for humans and toxic for insects and other smaller animals. Here are some household items that you can use to repel roaches that you have at home:

Citronella

You can use almost any item that has citronella content to repel a lot of different pests. Some people use citronella candles and lit these at home. For those who have citronella oil, soak cotton balls or towels with it. For those who prefer to use this product as a spray, they have citronella sprays which makes it easy for them to spray and fill the house with the substance’s smell.

Mint Oil

Using peppermint oil is probably one of the most popular methods of dealing with any type of pest at home. While people can use this particular oil to cure skin problems up to problems leading to depression, it can very much be used for pest control as well. Pests are not able to stand the smell of minty leaves and a strong smell of mint oil even though humans tend to love it. The smell of this oil is toxic to many insects because most of them breathe through their exoskeletons. And so, leaving traces of this smell in your house is a very effective method to do it.

Tea Tree Oil

Now, this is another effective essential oil to use when battling against pests. We all love the smell of a pleasing tea tree oil because it is very closely associated with pine trees. Tea tree oil on the other hand can be used for different household items and surfaces. You can soak a rag in tea tree oil to create a smell that gives off greatly in a place.

Vanilla Extract

The smell of a vanilla extract seems to be very effective in repelling different types of pests as well. While we use it to give more taste and life to the food that we eat, the effect seems to be very different for pests.
