HOW TO GET RID OF SPIDERS IN YOUR BED
Seeing a small (sometimes huge) furry friend with eight legs on your bed isn’t really something that helps you sleep in the night. And so in order for you to sleep tightly and worry – free you think of ways to stop these little things from climbing on to your bed. Here’s how you can get rid of spider presence in your bed:
Since it is your bed and it is not advisable that you use any harmful chemicals on it, then using natural repellents are what you should resort to. Perhaps, essential oils will be a great help in exterminating spiders in your beds. Use oils like peppermint, eucalyptus, tea tree, lemon and lavender. These particular oils give off a very strong yet aromatic smell which is pleasing for humans yet toxic for small insects such as spiders. Most of these natural products contain a substance called d-limonene which is a natural chemical that is proven to keep pests away. Plus, these substances help in providing a great soothing aroma for the person sleeping on the bed.
Use Clean Sheets
Yes, you read that right. Spiders are just like roaches, they feed on food remnants, crumbs and even dirt! Since you’re already doing your laundry once a week, you need to learn to include your bed sheets, mattresses and pillow cases in your weekly cleaning. Dead skin cells, food crumbs, sweat, feet dirt and other stuff can easily collect on bed mattresses and sheets. And with this type of build up, you’re forming a welcoming nesting place for pests such as roaches and ants which will then result to spiders crawling up the same place to hunt for those insects already in your bed. So take our advice and clean your bed items.
Eat In Proper Places
There might be some days that you might prefer having that bowl of cereal on your bed, or eating a bag chips while watching Netflix as your curl up on your bed, or having breakfast in bed – well, this type of lifestyle doesn’t really help in maintaining a clean and pest free environment for you. Avoid eating in midnight snacks in your bedroom to avoid getting food crumbs, debris, spillages and sauces on your bed sheets and other bed items. As we’ve previously mentioned, by creating an unclean environment will only attract pests that you wouldn’t want to be there in the first place. Plus, maintaining your sheets clean will also help you through the weekly laundry that you’re gonna be doing.
